CHAPTER ONE[]

Moana was sleeping with her sister, Honua, and her brother, Koa. Their mother, Makua, was pacing back and forth worriedly. "Where is he? Mauna Loa erupted.. surely, he wasn't there on one of his 'expeditions for a Clan', right?" Makua asked to nobody. Moana looked up. "Where is Papa?" Makua looked down and smiled at her. "He's hunting for a Clan! Soon, we'll go on a journey, and leave this place. We'll have a family, finally!" By then, Honua and Koa were also awake. "But we already have a family." Makua froze. "Of course. I just meant, well, a.. better family than ours." Makua looked happy. Moana and her siblings were used to this. Their mother had already confided to them that she didn't really love their papa. She only wanted him so he would find them a Clan. Moana cleaned her fur. "Okay, Mama." Makua unsheathed her claws and scratched Moana on the face. "I told you not to call me Mama! I am Makua to you. I don't care if I did give birth to you. I'm ashamed of all three of you, you useless lumps of fur!" Moana whimpered. Honua suddenly mewed, "We're all gonna go explore the damage." Makua nodded. "Maybe you can find some pits of lava to jump in while you're doing that." Moana whimpered and ran off with Honua and Koa. Suddenly, a large cat came over to them. "Hi, I'm Autumnkit. I was a friend of your papa's." Koa suddenly spoke up. "Was? Why aren't you still?" Autumnkit smiled sadly. "Your father was in search of a Clan when Mauna Loa erupted. He was caught by the lava. But, I found a Clan for you three. I used to be in it, but I ran away. You three will love it, though. The name of it is FaunaClan, and the leader and cats there are amazing." Moana blinked, amazed. "Will you bring us to it? Please? Without Makua." Autumnkit looked surprised. "Uh, sure."

CHAPTER TWO[]

Moana was panting. "I'm so tired!" She yelped. It had been moons since they had left Hawaii.
